Special Summer Reading Programs
Join us on Wednesday, June 17th @ 1pm as the popular NJ Snake Man team shares their unique collection of live snakes, lizards, & turtles through a fun and interactive program! Who LOVES dinosaurs?! Professor Livingpebble certainly does, and you will too after this wildly entertaining adventure! Join us for a “quasi-educational, wholly hilarious” journey into the world of paleontology, where kids will dig deep into dino discovery and come face-to-face with a life-sized Velociraptor on Thursday, June 18th 2 6:30pm! This high-energy program is packed with creative audience participation as children unleash their inner T-Rex and become reptiles of all kinds, big or small, carnivore or herbivore. Expect nonstop fun with comic antics, brain-teasing challenges, slapstick comedy, magic, bubble play, amazing sound effects, and delightfully eccentric props. This special event is a joint program hosted by Greenwood Public Library and held at Bridgeville Public Library, bringing our communities together for one unforgettable dino adventure! Kids are encouraged to come dressed in their best safari gear or dino-dig attire! Slither, stomp, or soar on over and join Professor Livingpebble for a roaring good time—you won’t want to miss this dino-mite experience! This program is designed to give learners an understanding of the world around us, and provide an amazing artistic experience to encourage creativity, culture and community. Join us at Saturday Story Time on Saturday, July 25th from 11am-12pm as the Chesapeake Mermaid shares her love of the bay through an engaging live show with storytelling, music, movement, and more fun. Guests are invited to learn about her wildlife friends, explore bay creature sign language, and take part in an interactive storytime that encourages curiosity and imagination for all ages. The experience also includes “Mermaid Moments,” where families can enjoy personal interactions and take photos to remember the day following our program. Don't miss the chance to take home a copy of our enchanting storybooks and activity books to continue the adventure, and learn more about the Chesapeake Mermaid at ChesapeakeMermaid.com. The Chesapeake Mermaid's performances will begin promptly at 11am. No ticket necessary. Wheelchair and stroller accessible with handicapped parking.
