The library provides its patrons with an open, high-speed wireless network that can be used with wireless-network-enabled portable devices to access the Internet.
How do I connect?
• Have a Wi-Fi connection that will auto-detect our signal
• Set it to auto-detect
• Attach to “Library-Public”
• Start your browser
• Accept our Acceptable Use Policy
How safe is the network?
Generally, the network is safe to use. However, it is an open system. As such, the Delaware Division of Libraries cannot and does not guarantee that your computer will be protected if you connect to the network; use of the network is at your own risk. It is recommended that your computer have an antivirus program and a firewall program to help ensure its security.
Computers
The library also has a number of computers that our patrons may use that provides internet access, Microsoft Office, and other utilities. Computers may be accessed by anyone with a valid Delaware Library Card. For access to these computers, see our circulation desk.
We also have four computers in our children's area that are dedicated for children under the age of 12. Two of them are regular computers with limited access to the internet (with parental approval) and two are loaded with games and learning activities for the children to enjoy.
Additionally there is a computer dedicated for job searching and resume building in the computer lab and a computer dedicated to genealogy research in the Genealogy and Local History room.
