2025 Summer Reading Program
Join Ms. Hilary for the Summer Story Book Corner on Tuesdays at 10am. Kids Craft Day for all ages will be on Wednesdays at 10am. The July crafts: July 2nd-Pop Art; July 9th-Chenille Stems; July 16th-Mosaic Art; July 23rd-Paint Chip Art; July 30th-Comic Panels. Join us with Ms. Hilary on Saturday, July 19th @ 10am for stories, songs, and rhymes about COLOR followed by a healthy & delicious brunch! All ages are welcome! Join us for a highly engaging and interactive magic show with "The Amazing Mr. B." on Saturday, July 26th @ 1:00pm. We are welcoming back "Mister Boom Boom" (aka Frank Coates) music educator from Philadelphia to the library with his engaging drum and storytelling show! He will be here on Wednesday, July 30th @ 1:30pm. Join us on Thursday, July 31st at 1pm for the Rehoboth Summer Children's Theatre production of Aladdin. In this hilarious version, Aladdin and his magic lamp encounter not one, but two genies. On Thursday, August 14th @ 10am, Orpheus Collar will present a look back at the imagery of the books and how they were made, and will show visits from around the world searching for the mythological origins in preparation for his graphic novels & discuss the role archeology and sketching from life aids in his process creating vivid graphic fantasy stories.

Community Bridge to Wellness
Throughout the year, join the Bridgeville Library for our wellness journey-promoting mental and physical health by providing many different programs for everyone. All programs are FREE and all are welcome! Our self-led walking groups meet in the parking lot and walk the Hometown trail on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Our Library now has a Community Health Worker onsite two days a week to provide access to free counseling, resources, and incentives for qualifying individuals. Please call the library for availability. Join us on Tuesdays at 10am for Chair Yoga with Bonnie (Ananda Yoga). On the 1st Monday of every month @ 2pm -a fun cardio drumming class hosted by PACE Your Life "Drums Alive", suitable for all abilities and free to attend. It will be held on a first come-first served basis for up to 24 people. On the 2nd Tuesday, PACE Your Life will host a BINGO at 3pm. Join us for a grief support group with Latoya Harris, a Certified Community Health Worker to discuss how to handle the grief you may be experiencing on Friday, July 25th @ 4pm. Registration is preferred. Join certified hypnotherapist Dolly Palmer for a guided group hypnosis session designed to support your wellness journey — from the inside out. In this gentle yet powerful experience, you’ll access your subconscious mind to reinforce healthy habits like movement, nourishing food choices, and motivation to follow through. Registration is required and limited to 20 participants.

Family Programs
If you haven't registered already for the Community Bridge to Wellness, visit the library to receive a free health journal and an insulated tote bag. Our self-led walking groups are starting Wednesday, April 23rd. Meet in the parking lot and walk the Hometown trail. Join us with your family for a Carnival themed Family Fun Night on Thursday, July 17th from 6-8pm. We will have fun games, pony rides, a bouncy house, cotton candy, popcorn, and the "Double Dutch Therapy" group will be there! Registration is required. Call 302-337-7401 ext. 101 or online: delawarelibraries.libcal.com/calendar/bridgeville. Online registration ends 3 days before the event and fills quickly (at that point, call to see if there are openings). If registering online, please put how many will be attending in the NOTES or choose MULTIPLE ATTENDEES. Weather permitting, this will be held outside.

Join Ms. Hilary for the Summer Reading Program "Color Our World" Story Book Corner on Tuesdays at the library at 10am for all ages. The theme is colors. On July 8th, and August 5th, it will be held at the Seaford Chick-Fil-A. On Wednesdays @ 10am there will be a Kids Craft Day for all ages. Bring your child to the library on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month @11am to read to the L.E.A.P. dog, Oliver. Saturday Story Book Brunch will be held on Saturday, July 19th @ 10am with stories, songs, and rhymes about COLOR followed by a delicious, healthy brunch! All ages are welcome. Saturday, August 16th from 11am-1pm -"Your Bridge to the World" Book Discussion-we discuss the book selection “A Long Petal of the Sea” by Isabel Allende, and enjoy a variety of Chilean inspired cuisine. Tween/Teen Programs
Join our team for “STEAM Team Showcase” and engage in science-driven activities that are fun and educational with Ms. Hilary. On Wednesday, July 16th (choose either 1:30pm or 3:00pm session) you will make shadow art or shadow drawing. We prefer registration to ensure we have enough materials. Join our certified Community Health Workers from Tank Mentality for a "Think Tank- Let's Talk: Life" for teens and tweens (ages 10-17) on Thursday, July 17th at 3pm. Let’s talk about life as a teen: friendships, school, family, anxiety, or social media. Bring some friends! Snacks will be provided. Join Ms. Miranda for the Tween Book Club on Thursday, July 24th at 3:30pm for ages 8-14. This month's book is "City Spies" by James Ponti. Several copies of the book are reserved at the library. It is also available on the Libby and Kindle Apps. Registration is preferred. Join us with Kaytra MacDonald, Community Health Worker Tank Mentality presenting: Personal Care (for Middle School ages) on Wednesday, August 6th from 4-5pm. She will discuss how your body is starting to change, new ways to take care of your body and suggestions/resources for hygiene and puberty. Teens and Tweens (ages 10-17) Join us to design and paint your own bookends on Monday, August 11th. Bring some friends! A snack will be provided. Choose either 11:30am or 3:30pm on Monday, August 11th. Registration is required. Join us with “November Clay” on wednesday, August 13th 2 10am to learn how to make your own clay earrings. You will get to choose the color and shape, then learn the process of working with clay. Registration is required and is limited to 15.

Impact Festival
The fourth annual Impact Festival will be held Saturday, September 6th, 2025 at the Bridgeville Public Library from 10am-2pm. Join us for a fun-filled day of positivity and good vibes with numerous food and craft vendors, an Adventure Park with 10+ inflatables and games, music, face painting, raffles and giveaways. Entry to the festival is free, with vendors and Adventure Park at a cost. Craft vendors will be indoors. All proceeds benefit The Inspiring Project’s annual scholarships and donations to local charities.

CPR Certification Classes
The Bridgeville Library is hosting CPR Certification Classes. A Certified CPR American Heart Association Instructor will be teaching these classes. The cost is $65 per participant to receive certification.(Check or cash accepted). A non-certification class will be offered an hour before - for free. Registration is required.
