Harvest Moon Market Vendor Event
Join us for vendors, raffles, food, door prizes and fun for the whole family! On Saturday, November 16th from 9am until 2pm, the library will be filled with crafts, gifts, and decor. The Crisp and Cozy Cafe will be serving breakfast sandwiches and pulled pork for purchase. Support the Friends of the Bridgeville Library and shop in the “Friends Attic” and purchase delicious fall baked goods and basket raffle tickets. There will also be door prizes every 30 minutes, a Fall photo booth and a FREE kids zone! Reading Adventure
Summer Reading was a blast, so we are continuing with another neighborhood reading adventure starting November 12th and running through January 12th. You will journey through Bridgeville and books as you complete tasks, such as, Reading Bingo, a Selfie Scavenger Hunt, and Hometown Highlights. Look for details on our FB page and website. Packets will be available beginning November 12th. You don’t want to miss out on all the fun!

Children's Programs
Bring your child to the library on the second and fourth Tuesday (next session is the 26th) of every month @11am to read to the L.E.A.P. dogs. The goal of the Literacy Education Assistance Pups is to improve the literacy skills of children and grow their enthusiasm for reading. Join Ms. Hilary for stories, songs, and rhymes about Turkeys in November. Story Book Corner is held on Tuesdays at the library at 10am and is geared for ages 3-5. On Wednesdays, it is at 9am and is geared for birth-2 years old. Join Ms. Hilary for an educational experience to be held on the 2nd Thursday of every month from 11am-12pm at the library. Each month will have different topic geared for school-aged children. The topic for November 14th is History of Holidays in November and December. Registration is required. We will have a dedicated area tailored for the younger learners (ages 6 & under), if you would find it more beneficial.

Join us for an astronomy-themed Family Fun Night on Thursday, November 21st from 6-8pm. We will be STAR Gazing with telescopes, guided by our volunteers, Steve and Keith. Since we will be outside, dress accordingly. There will also be constellation crafts and refreshments. Registration is required. Adult Programs
Join us on Saturday, December 14th from 11am-1pm as we discuss the book selection “Once Upon a Wardrobe” by Patti Callahan and also enjoy a variety of Irish and English cuisine. Participants can volunteer to bring a potluck item. Before the event, you will be contacted if you are bringing an hors d'oeuvre, a side dish, or a dessert. Registration is required.

Tween/Teen Programs
Join us for a new program for ages 8-14 with Ms. Miranda at the library on Thursday, November 21st from 3:30-4:30pm. We will be discussing "The Wild Robot" by Peter Brown in this fun and interactive Book Club. Several copies of the book are reserved at the library and it is also available as an e-book or audio book on the Libby App. Registration is requested. Join our team for “STEAM Team Showcase” on Wednesday, November 13th and engage in science-driven activities that are fun and educational. We will have two separate sessions (1:30-2:30pm or 3-4pm). For the month of November, we will be doing DIY slime and cloud dough. Bring your friends! We prefer registration to ensure we have enough materials. Join us on Saturday, November 23rd from 11am-1pm for a STAR-themed Party. Bring your friends for fun activities about astronomy and astrology, crafts, and snacks. Registration is required. Join Small Town Gaming for a FREE Play Day on Saturday, December 7th from 10am-2pm. Enjoy playing video games and meeting new friends. A free lunch is provided.

Sussex County Mobile Health Unit
Do you need a flu shot? Or a Covid-19 Test? Want to get the latest Covid-19 vaccination? Need HIV Testing, counseling and referral? Or just need some important health information? You can get all of these at the Delaware Division of Public Health’s Mobile Health Unit in the parking lot on Thursday, November 14th from 10am-3pm. The Mobile Unit is wheelchair accessible. Vaccination and testing require patient and/or guardian consent. No appointment is necessary; walk-ins are welcome. Dress for the weather as the wait line and check-ins are outside. For health privacy reasons, only one family at a time is able to enter the unit.
