2025 Summer Reading Program
Join Ms. Hilary for the Summer Story Book Corner on Tuesdays at 10am. Kids Craft Day for all ages will be on Wednesdays at 10am. In June: 4th-Sponge Paint; 11th-String Art; 18th-Paper Sculptures; 25th-Salt Art. Tuesday, July 1st @ 10:30am the Science Guys of Baltimore will take the kids on an exciting journey into the science of colors and how we see them! Through fun experiments and interactive demonstrations, young scientists will learn about light sources, prisms, and the science of rainbows! Navigate the world of color with The Science Guys through laser shows, rainbow reveals, optical illusions, and much more. The science show is great for ages 3+ and lasts about 45 minutes. Join us on Thursday, July 31st at 1pm for the Rehoboth Summer Children's Theatre production of Aladdin. In this hilarious version, Aladdin and his magic lamp encounter not one, but two genies. In addition to the powerful genie of the lamp, audiences meet Mr. Green Genie, a bumbling, but eager, apprentice.The two genies help Aladdin overcome a snarky sorceress and win the hand of the princess! Two actors play all the characters in this family-fun, 45 minute production.

Community Bridge to Wellness
Throughout the year, join the Bridgeville Library for our wellness journey-promoting mental and physical health by providing many different programs for everyone. All programs are FREE and all are welcome! Every MONDAY @ 9:30am a pre-recorded chair fitness session will be shown at the library through the end of June with Instructor Bree Rudy. You may also view the recorded session posted on our youtube channel. Yoga classes with Bonnie are on Wednesdays @ 6pm through June. Our self-led walking groups meet in the parking lot and walk the Hometown trail on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Bring the whole family for a walk on Wednesdays in June along the Bridgeville Walking Path, followed by outdoor themed scavenger hunts, crafts, and connections with nature. Led by Lisa with Courageous Hearts. We are offering free community workshops to manage your diabetes presented by the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services Division of Public Health. These workshops will be held at the library every Wednesday, starting June 25th through July 30th from 10am-12:30pm. Register online: HealthyDelaware.org/DSMP. Our Library now has a Community Health Worker onsite two days a week to provide access to free counseling, resources, and incentives for qualifying individuals. Please call the library for availability. Join us for a grief support group on Saturday, June 28th from 10-11am with Latoya Harris, a Certified Community Health Worker to discuss how to handle the grief you may be experiencing. Registration is preferred. On Tuesday, July 1st @ 10am, PACE Your Life, Procino-Wells & Woodland,llc, and Delaware Hospice will have a professional panel to answer your questions regarding legal planning, in-home and facility care, and palliative care & hospice. Family Programs
If you haven't registered already for the Community Bridge to Wellness, visit the library to receive a free health journal and an insulated tote bag. Our self-led walking groups are starting Wednesday, April 23rd. Meet in the parking lot and walk the Hometown trail. On Wednesdays, Lisa from Courageous Hearts will be on here to take you on "Nature Connection" walk with scavenger hunts, crafts, and a connection with nature. Our Family Fun Night will be a family picnic on Thursday, June 26th from 6-8pm. We will have yard games, a free hot dog meal for everyone, a special performance by "Double Dutch Therapy" with a learning session, and each family will receive a stepping stone to paint and take home. Registration is required.

Children's Programs
Join Ms. Hilary for the Summer Reading Program "Color Our World" Story Book Corner on Tuesdays at the library at 10am for all ages. The theme is colors. On June 3rd, July 8th, and August 5th, it will be held at the Seaford Chick-Fil-A. On Wednesdays @ 10am there will be a Kids Craft Day for all ages. Bring your child to the library on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month @11am to read to the L.E.A.P. dog, Oliver. Join us on Saturday, June 28th @ 10am with the Delaware Ballet to make your own tutu. All materials will be provided. FREE to all ages! Light refreshments will be served.

Tween/Teen Programs
Join us with Miranda Collins for a 9 week course of learning to code using the Scratch coding language. These sessions are geared for ages 9-16 and will meet on Mondays at 3pm for 1 hour. The dates are: June 16, 23, 30, July 14, 21, 28, August 4, 18, 25. "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio is this month's book. The Anime Club is on Thursday, June 26th @ 4pm. FREE Gaming on Saturday, June 28th with Small Town Gaming from 10am-2pm and on Saturday, July 12th! Play your favorite video games. "My Life Basically" Automotive Care (for High School ages) on Thursday, July 3rd @ 4pm. Join Ms. Hilary to tie dye a T-shirt with sharpies for Teen Craft Day on Monday, July 7th either at 11:30am or 3:30pm. Registration is required. Join our team for “STEAM Team Showcase” and engage in science-driven activities that are fun and educational with Ms. Hilary. On Wednesday, July 16th (choose either 1:30pm or 3:00pm session) you will make shadow art or shadow drawing. We prefer registration to ensure we have enough materials.

Impact Festival
The fourth annual Impact Festival will be held Saturday, September 6th, 2025 at the Bridgeville Public Library from 10am-2pm. Join us for a fun-filled day of positivity and good vibes with numerous food and craft vendors, an Adventure Park with 10+ inflatables and games, music, face painting, raffles and giveaways. Entry to the festival is free, with vendors and Adventure Park at a cost. Craft vendors will be indoors. All proceeds benefit The Inspiring Project’s annual scholarships and donations to local charities.
