Self-Defense Training for Adults

Retired Marine Defense Instructor Darron Todd will be at the Bridgeville Library training adults in self-defense. Receive instruction on multiple defense techniques intended to empower and build self-confidence in participants. Participants will learn these basic skills, along with others: defend against front and rear chokes, defend against strikes, defend against weapon attacks, leg sweeps, and striking techniques. Classes will be held Monday July 17th thru Thursday August 3rd from 6-7pm. The dates will be: Monday July 17th, Wednesday July 19th, Monday July 24th, Tuesday July 25th, Thursday July 27th, Tuesday August 1st, and Thursday August 3rd. Each class will cover different areas of adult defense. Classes are free and open to the public. Space is limited, and registration is required. Please contact the circulation desk at (302) 337-7401, ext 101 to sign up for the classes.

Impact Night with Chase Marvil and the Inspiring Project

Chase Marvil and his Inspiring Project will be at the Bridgeville Library to give our tweens and teens who may either feel left out, or like friendship isn’t easy for them, a place to go where they can feel welcomed and not alone. This program is aimed at our tweens and teens in grades 6-9, but is open to others who may be interested in attending. Join us on Friday July 28th, August 4th, and August 18th from 4:30-7pm for games, music, and food.

Free Library Gaming

Join us on Saturday August 5th from 11am-2pm, as “Small Town Gaming” offers an open arcade for the day. They will have XBox One, PS4, Wii U, Madden17, NBA2K17, COD: Infinite Warfare, Nintendoland, MarioKart, Card Games, and more. You may bring your own console if you would like to do so. This event is free, and open to ALL ages.

Caterpillar Clubhouse

Bring your Luv Bug to the Bridgeville Public Library on Wednesday mornings at 10:00am to participate in our early literacy lapsit program. The Caterpillar Clubhouse is a cradle to crayons program for your child age 3 months to 3 years.
