Family Fun Night, Snack Time With Santa *Registration Required*

Join us on Tuesday December 18th from 6-8pm at the library for “Snack Time with Santa” and special guest Mrs. Claus. We have a great night planned with music, snacks, photo opportunities, crafts, and fun. Light refreshments will be available. We encourage families to bring a new, unwrapped toy for the “Toys for Tots” drive. This program is free and open to the public; however, registration is required by Saturday December 15th. Please contact the circulation desk at (302) 337-7401, ext. 101 to sign up.

Library Holiday Hours for December

The Bridgeville Library will be CLOSED on the following dates in December (and beginning of January 2019): Monday December 24th Tuesday December 25th Wednesday December 26th Tuesday January 1st The Bridgeville Library will have special holiday hours on Thursday December 27th from 10:00am- 5:00pm.

AARP Tax Appointments

Every Wednesday from February 6th thru April 10th - AARP Tax appointments will be available from 10am-3pm, appointments are required. Items you must bring to your appointment are 2018 W-2(s), Social Security Card for anyone on the 2018 Tax Return, valid picture ID, all signers must be present. Please call the circulation desk at (302) 337-7401, ext 101 to schedule your appointment today.


Caterpillar Clubhouse

Bring your Luv Bug to the Bridgeville Public Library on Wednesday mornings at 10:00am to participate in our early literacy lapsit program. The Caterpillar Clubhouse is a cradle to crayons program for your child age 3 months to 3 years.

Sussex County 4-H Tech Club

The Sussex County 4-H Tech Club meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 5-6:30pm. Mr. Keith hosts the meeting at the Bridgeville Public Library. This is open to all current AND non-4H’ers grades 4-12. Learn how 3D printers work and how to use 3D CAD software to design objects that you can 3D print. Learn the basics of computer coding and we will learn to make computer games and other useful programs. Learn about electricity and electronics. We will make soldering and other projects.

Basic Computer and Tech Assistance

Join us at the Bridgeville Library on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 5-7pm, and every Friday from 3-5pm. We will offer assistance with your portable (laptops, e-readers, tablets, etc.) technology. Our friendly library staff and our tech volunteer Jim will assist you with your questions and issues. Build, Construct, Create - Ages 1-10 years

Beginning in September, join us on Thursdays for a fun learning experience for builders, ages 1-10 years old. We will host three age groups at separate times throughout the day. Participants will enjoy creating on our two Lego Duplo activity centers. Caregivers must supervise their builders. 10-10:45am for ages 1-3 years 11-11:45am for ages 4-6 years 5-5:45pm for ages 7-10 years
