On August 17, 2009 we held the ribbon cutting and dedication for our new library located at 600 South Cannon Street. The new 13,500 square foot facility includes a computer lab, 200 person capacity meeting room, local history and genealogy room, reading lounge, and children’s area. Services include circulation of library materials, color and b&w printing, color and b&w copier, fax services, computer access, wireless internet access, and free programming. Programming includes lapsit, storytime, family fun nights, adult and teen book discussions, and special monthly programming. All programming and events are free and open to the public. Mission Statement:
The Bridgeville Public Library provides free access to a variety of materials, programs, and services in a friendly and welcoming environment. Special emphasis is placed on providing current, high-demand, high-interest materials in a variety of formats. The library also promotes genealogy research and a local history collection. In carrying out its mission, the library enhances the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to provide the community we serve with a quality collection, with programs and services in a facility that is accessible, safe and comfortable for all of our customers.
