The 2024 Summer Reading Program
"Adventure Begins at Your Library" has begun!
It’s The Delaware Libraries 45th year!
If you haven't already signed up on Beanstack, click here: delawarelibraries.org/signup
Program Benefits:
- Promotes learning during summer break in a fun way
- Sharpens literacy skills
- Encourages reluctant readers
- Fosters a passion for reading
- It’s FREE!
You can visit the library to pick up your "Passport", which will be used as your reading log. We have age levels: 0-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-17, and 18+. On display in the library are the various prizes you can choose from to win after you read and receive, fill out, and return your tickets to the library. You can also win prizes with Sussex County Libraries if you registered and record your reading in Beanstack.
We have many programs centered around the theme happening at the library. Check out our Facebook Page or this website for more info. We have programs for teens and tweens too (ages 10-17). Click here for their Facebook page.
DID YOU KNOW? In Delaware’s Imagination Library program, children ages birth up to their 5th birthday receive a FREE book in the mail each month. The purpose is to instill the habit of reading, and create the library habit, too! This program is brought to you by Delaware Libraries, a program of First Lady Tracey Quillen Carney’s First Chance initiative.
